A TOUCH TO TREASURE
A TOUCH TO TREASURE
Our hands, the space, our body are essential in shaping the textiles that surround us. These three inter-human aspects are the ‘tools’ that give the flat surface a three dimensional value. Only through interaction and use can you discover its full possibilities, exploring its different facets. Felting and manipulating cause wrinkling, shrinking, movement and distortion. Overlays of different tactilities come together on the body and in space: a monumental softness, a raw poetry, a minimalistic richness. The body becomes part of the fabric, shapes the fabric and disappears in it. Merging into a new way of existing, challenging our interaction with them. The result is a series of wearable jacquard pieces as part of my master collection, made to fit your own expression and gestures.
