For her limited series of blankets, Emma Terweduwe threads new life into artisanal crafts of the past, combining her sensibility for strikingly contemporary graphic designs with the traditional process of jacquard weaving. Using natural materials, like wool and cotton, with subtle yet expressive properties, her woven works reveal an organic and tactile feeling, brought into the present by bold graphic patterns.

Hand-finished with a crochet technique, she adds further playful details in colour and texture, underlining the unique quality of each piece. With different designs on either side of each blanket, this piece can be repositioned, redisplayed and enjoyed again from new perspectives at their owners’ discretion.
